Nice location but leaves you feeling like it could've been better

Overall this hotel feels like you are staying in an apartment in Phoenix. I lived in an apartment and it felt the same. Similar layout, 4 pools shouting by a group of rooms. Room was spacious. You walk into a nice size living room, then kitchen, and the bedroom has a door so you can go sleep while kids sit in the living room watching TV. There was a balcony but unfortunately it overlooks the parking lot, so no real reason to sit outside. The walls are pretty thin. I was going to sleep and I could hear the whole conversation the neighbors were having next door. I stayed here because my son saw the water slides on the main webpage, unfortunately check in is at 4pm and the slides close at 5pm. So unless you run to the slides immediately upon check-in, you won't be using the slides. A positive thing is that the rooms have a washer and dryer, so if you go swimming you can throw your clothes in the washer and dryer so you don't have to carry wet clothes with you when you leave.

Vacation guest

Great hotel. Supplies for a stay provided . I especially liked 3 laundry soaps - extra toilet paper , towels and hide away bedding . Recommend coffee creamer packages and bottles of water for coffee maker . On site resturant allows to not have to leave property ! Fully enjoyed . Will stay again

Not worth it

Stayed here for my daughters graduation. Check in took a long time with only 2 guests ahead of us and 3 people working it took at least 30-45min to check in. Restaurant closes early so we went straight there to grab a bite to eat. They have a waitress but you still have to walk up to the bar to place your order. We only ordered 2 pizzas and a quesadilla and it took 45 min after we ordered to get our food. Then the so called game room..we took our grandson to play some games walked in and got a game card and there was only 4 games total to play and one was out of order. They also have a shuffle board table that needs to be replaced they have duct tape on the ends, the claw games don’t pick up anything, only good thing was the pool table. Was not impressed with this vacation club location and would not stay here again.

Utterly incompetent staff at check-in it

It took more than 2 hours to complete a 10 min task. Not once, but twice. Rooms were not assigned properly, cancelled and shuffled. WiFi was useless. And nobody cared. Staff was equally unavailable at checkout. Are you kidding??

Great hotel

We loved our stay, the looks were great!! Our villa was huge. Slight noise from neighbors above us.

Amazing Resort for Spring Break!

We love this resort and will continue to return!! This was our third time staying at the Holiday Inn Club Scottsdale and our family of four had a very fun, yet relaxing trip. We love having the four different pool options plus water slides! With all of these options, it never feels too busy or overcrowded. The on-site restaurant is extremely convenient and we were provided with excellent service (big props to Anthony and Fatima!). The entire staff at this resort from the front desk staff, housekeeping, maintenance, amd lifeguards were friendly, hospitable and go above and beyond. Our only recommendation would be to not place a family with children (ages 13 and 6) in the villas in the adults only section. This was not a deal breaker for us but even walking out of the room with kids seemed to "bother" adults relaxing at the adults only pool. With so many buildings and villas to choose from, it would make more sense for room locations for families to be at any of the other villas. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend asking for a third floor room - we were awakened all of the mornings we were there between 4am and 6am by very loud stomping and walking back and forth directly above us. Definitely not the resorts fault however but this has occurred 2 out of the 3 times we have stayed here - just unlucky on our part to be in a room below extremely early risers! Not a deal breaker though and none of the above would prevent us from returning. In fact, we can't wait to return and already looking at planning our next trip!

Great resort

Our villa was clean and comfortable. We loved all of the resort amenities! Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was close to lots of stores and restaurants. We will recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay here again in the future!

Overall Good Stay

Though check in is quite the process (they try to sell you on vacation club membership ownership) and you have to listen to their sales pitch in order to get your room keys. I just traveled all day and the last thing I want to listen to is your sales pitch! My status as an IHG One Rewards member was also disregarded and not recognized at check in. Otherwise, the property was well kept, parking was ample, and the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.

OK but would not return

From billing issues, key fob problems along with limited restaurant hours, I won't recommend or return to this property.
