Overall, we were happy with our stay at Holiday Inn Vacation Club in Scottsdale, AZ. Great convenience of 4 pools and restaurant on-site. Some lack of staffing in the restaurant left us wondering if anyone was available to serve our family, who stayed with us. The food was great, however, more variety of menu items and different specials each day would be better. Noise level above our suite was a little disturbing at times, especially during hours after 8 PM, when our family was setting into quiet time, which perhaps speaks to the insulation that could be added between floors of the suites. The desk was very responsive to our supply needs and deliveries were prompt. However, perhaps a larger supply of dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, and towels could be facilitated, especially when supplying a suite as we had (3-bedroom). Finally, the washer and dryer were very appreciated, althought the laundry powder seemed to migrate into the filter more than expected in the in-suite washing machine.

Great room and grounds, subpar market

Amazing hotel! The main bedroom in the villa is bigger than most hotel rooms. Both bathrooms and bedrooms are huge. Bedrooms included tvs, large dressers and ceiling fans, as well as the AC. Main bedroom included robes and slippers to use at the hotel. Full size washer and dryer in suite. Queen pull out is not your standard hotel pullout, way better quality. Huge walk in shower. Play station was connected and easy to use. Diningroom table at 8 and kitchen included oven, stove top, full size fridge and freezer with ice maker, dishwasher and full size sink, kuerig with pods, glass dishes, as well as counter top seating. Room included a large balcony with tables and chairs. Hotel pools (4 of them) were clean and well maintained. Slide (2 large water slides) hours were not super conducive to a one night stay since they are only open from 1130-5 bc of lifeguard on duty. Splash pad was fantastic for many ages. Arcade was a clean, bright and well maintained. Pool and ping pong table were serviceable with all game equipment available for free use. Arcade game machines did require payment. Arts and crafts available (some for small payment). Restaurant food was well priced and delicious. Pizza fed 4 teens for about $20. The only reason this is a 4 and not a 5 is because of our breakfast experience. The restaurant is not open for breakfast, but you can order fresh cooked for from the market place. The employee (female working on 10/4/2026) disappeared to the kitchen a lot, someone's for 30+ minutes, leaving customers waiting just to purchase a drink from the fridge. I ordered food at 0950, was told it would be 15 minutes, and finally received my food at 1130 (after check out time). The food was over priced ($5.95 for the meat add on, which ended up being 2 sausages, and $4.95 for the southwest potatoes side, which ended up being less than 1 whole potato, cut into 6 pieces). The food we received was incomplete and made incorrectly (missing family pastries, and strawberry cream pancakes were plain with no toppings included).

Everything was perfect

Huge soft bed, great water pressure in shower, convenient own washer/dryer that were quiet. Great sitting area and everything you needed in a full size kitchen. Easy to park and walk to the room. Pool was clean and refreshing.

Love the property

This place was absolutely delightful and accommodating! Full kitchen, 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms full laundry room and dining area, not to mention the pools and activity center. My only disappointment was that when I learned about the activities for kids they close around check in time at 4pm and open at checkout time at 10am. You must stay more than one night to have the full experience. Outside of that I truly enjoyed my stay. They have everything you need. My personal opinion better than an AirBnb.

Recommend but now reconsidering

My day started on September 18, 2026 and I did a two night stay at the resort in Scottsdale Arizona. There are no rooms that are wheelchair accessible. There are four pools on site one of them being 21 and up. The family pool that included the slide. The paint can be retouched and the stairs could be redone. I stayed in a two bedroom deluxe villa. I also had two other family members book a room to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. For the most part, everything about my day was great besides the point where no one addressed my concerns about the carpet being dirty, the screen door being broken and the shelf in the fridge, not staying on. I call the front desk and I was asked if I wanted maintenance to come by. I said yes. No one ever came. Now that I checked out I’m being charged $250 for an excessive cleaning fee for a fifth size chocolate mark on the carpet maybe a quarter size chocolate mark on the wall. Then a small bottle, cap lid size of chocolate on the floor. I was accused of having a pet then accused of this being a fecal substance. $250 is excessive for carpet that needed to be cleaned prior to upon arrival. Also, the routine cleaning should take care of the spot on the tile floor. The mark on the wall would have just been an easy wipe down with a simple Clorox wipe. I am working with the disputing it with the management as it doesn’t seem like this is a fair charge on my part. I am not saying the unit didn’t require extra cleaning, but it was very minimum not justifiable for $250. The reason why I am hesitant on recommending this place again to families, or even myself on rebooking is due to the fact of the responded issues brought to the front desk attention, and also the charges that are being added to my stay.

Suites

Have everything you need. Only real complaint is only the primary has a king bed. The other room should be a least a queen. The grandkids loved the twin beds.

A Most Wonderful experience

Truly a great place in every way! The property landscape, the comfort of the villa, the slides and game room for the kids. Super clean, everything we needed to even cook in the kitchen and relax at dining room table. So clean and well thought out. Lots of pools and even cool water in them with 100 degree weather. Not to crowded in open areas. Loved it and told all family and friends. We will be back.

The best!

Best resort and very peaceful. Love the weather and the room. I try to go as much as I can.

Would bring the whole family

This was such a fun spot to stay. The villas have space to stay for longer periods. 3 kid friendly pools and one adult only pool. The villa we stayed in was quiet and clean. Charging ports on lamp stands did not work. Room was pretty close to black out. Balcony spaces are nice.

Romona’s stay

Excellent location and staff. This get away was greatly needed for my family to get together for my granddaughter birthday celebration. Suites were more than adequate for our needs to prepare and cook foods to serve our family and guests.
