lovely resort

Have stayed here twice now. Great to have a lovely apartment, excellent shuttle service to strip Friendly drivers..Don't like the hard sell once you have checked in. If you don't want to do it, say no means no. Swimming pools need cleaning at water level. Bit greasy to say the least. Lovely clean gyms. Would stay again.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Great place to stay in Vegas!!!

We just came back from our stay in Vegas. The resort was fantastic! We stayed in building 8, which was a great building right by the fountain pool and it was very quiet. The staff were very impressive, they were so kind and helpful. Check in was great. The restaurant was very good and convenient. We used the free shuttle which was great! We would come back her and recommend to our friends.

Yes, I recommend this property.

A different style of vegas

I would recommend this property to those who want to be near the strip but not on it. The 24 hour pools are a plus. Over all the stay was nice. The only real con for me was the bedding, pillows, and mattress were not up to the standards of the usual stay at Holiday or HI Express. All were dated and not up to the comfort level of previous stays. VALUE was good for a Friday and Saturday night in Vegas.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Close to Strip, Good Value

As a Platinum Priority Club member of IHG hotels, I was pleased to see a Holiday Inn Resort so reasonably priced and close to the strip. I was not pleased, however, at the attempt to coerce me into listening to a timeshare presentation. As a Platinum Priority member I am entitled to an upgrade. When I asked about an upgrade, without hesitation I was told nothing was available. I asked to speak to the manager who gave us "the best that was available". The room, with a kitchenette, was more than comfortable. We have an IHG Visa card and are supposed to receive five times the points when used at an IHG property. When we checked online, we received only one time the points and as of today, no points for our stay. We will have to make a follow-up phone call. The evening before our departure I checked with the man at the front desk to see if the shuttle service would be available at 4:30 the next morning. I was assured the shuttle service within the resort ran 24/7 and to allow 10 minutes for the shuttle to arrive--just dial 0 in the morning. When I dialed 0, I was told the shuttle does not run within the resort from 2 to 6 am. My wife and I had to walk from the rear of the resort to the lobby with our bags to get our taxi. We did have a drink at the Gold Mine restaurant during our stay, but joked that we didn't have another 20 minutes to order another drink. The service was beyond slow and the main reason we choose not to eat there.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Great property, great people!

This was my first stay here, but definitely not my last. I'm Platinum Elite Priority Club/IHG Rewards, so I travel a lot and stay at IHG properties a lot. This is absolutely a great property and because of the staff, the amenities and the location, this will be my first choice for future trips to Vegas. It's just a couple of blocks from the heart of the strip so you're close enough to the strip that the shuttles (Which run virtually all the time--- And ON time --- both to and from a variety of drop-off points) can have you in the middle of the strip quickly; yet far enough so you can enjoy a quiet night when you're finally ready to call it a night. Thanks for a great stay!

Yes, I recommend this property.

Much Better Than a Hotel Room

I stayed seven nights at this resort in early September, 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The accommodation was a villa with living room, dining room, full kitchen, two TVs, two telephones, a large bedroom, and a patio. The patio also contained a room with a washer and dryer, vacuum cleaner and other cleaning utilities.. The kitchen had a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, lots of dishes and other amenities. An ironing board, clothes iron, and a beautiful secure wall safe were included. Also, there's no extra resort fees like those charged by the casino hotels on the strip. Truly a home away from home! I am a light sleeper and cannot sleep well if there is noise above, below, or outside my room. For the seven nights that I stayed here, it was very quiet and I got a full night of sleep all seven nights. I walk regularly so I didn't mind the 10-15 minutes walk to the strip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Twice I called the front desk for help - once the toilet nearly overflowed and once I needed laundry detergent. Within minutes each time, a hotel worker was at my door and the problem was quickly solved. I used the Shuttle once - to go to Fremont Street on Saturday night. The shuttle left at 7:15 p.m. and picked us up again at 11;30 p.m. The driver was on time each time. Excellent service and no charge. I normally have a few complaints about places I've stayed at, but in this case, I have none. The owners have thought of everything and it was truly a pleasure for me to have stayed here.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Great cheap alternative to strip hotels and only 10 mins walk away

This hotel was undergoing some refurbishment when I stayed, but it was seldom a problem or noticeable. The front desk and bell staff were very welcoming and polite, happy to give explanations about the resort and its services. The room (more like a suite) was very large and comfortable, with great kitchen amenities. The downside for me was the single food outlet on the property - all the food was basic, cheap and not particularly tasty. The highlight of my restaurant visits was when a server realized I had come in just for dessert, and offered to bring me a glass of milk... now, that's a touch of home comfort and thoughtful service! Zero IHG Rewards Club recognition, unless you count the invitation to talk to the timeshare reps - I declined and was not bothered again.

Yes, I recommend this property.

What a find!

If you have not discovered this gem, discover it now! For those that don't want to be right on the Strip, this is the place for you! This is not your typical "hotel" but condo-style living. We did get one call about buying a timeshare, but it was from a sweet girl and that didn't bother us in the least. For other commenters, this is not an Express, so don't expect a free breakfast. The restaurant onsite was a little slow, so go BEFORE you get too hungry, but it is open most of the day. Only a couple blocks from the Strip, so you can either walk or drive to another parking garage. We spent six days in Vegas in the summer and never put our sun-shield in the windshield. It's great to be able to get away from all the hustle of the Strip. We were greeting wonderfully as IHG members and got a nice welcome packet upon arrival. Room was extraordinarily comfortable and quiet. Plenty of room to stretch out and we did take advantage of the full kitchen and balcony a couple of times. Only slight negative towards the bed, which seemed a little soft and dated, but we slept well. Other things...there are five pools to choose from, a couple of workout rooms and a game room. All were in great shape (well, in some cases, undisciplined kids were terrorizing the place, but you can't blame the hotel for bad parents.) Remember, this is a RESORT hotel, so you won't get housekeeping daily. That was totally fine, but we did need some extra shampoo and soap, and the housekeeping staff was very slow (with a couple of calls) to respond to our requests. Think of this more of an apartment for you, and not a hotel, and you will NOT be disappointed. We did not want to leave!

Yes, I recommend this property.

Bad Security

At first we loved this hotel and room. We stayed overnight here for a Santana Concert to celebrate our 5th anniversary. When we got back into our room afterwards and settled into bed, Security officers were banging on our door and the phone was ringing from the front desk alerting us to answer the door immediately. Couldn't believe these young dumb security officers thought us two senior citizens were partying and playing loud music??? We opened the door to a dark empty quiet living room and said WTF? We are too old of this BS. Couldn't fall back to sleep because of them and their stupid remarks that the loud music must be from down the hall....it was quiet outside our door too! Hire and train security staff to be diliegent about keeping the place safe and secure idiots!!! Their overall hotel had poor customer service, the shuttle bus was slower than you know what and we had to catch a taxi both ways because of their unreliable schedule. Horrible customer service except the front desk Hawaiian lady who greeted us with the Aloha Spirit.

No, I do not recommend this property.
