50th Wedding Anniversary Family Gathering!

We were drawn to the resort by its proximity to our homes near Dallas to make it convenient for the kids and grandkids to join us in celebrating our 50th Anniversary. With an adjoining waterpark, lake, and pools it was the ideal setting. The staff throughout the entire resort was terrific. Security was everywhere, lifeguards were attentive, and food and beverage outstanding.

Great Family Time HI Resort in Flint, TX

We took the whole family - 3 grown children and six grandchildren - to the HI Vacation Club in Flint. Everyone enjoyed the time there very much. The two bedroom suites are spacious and they accommodated our request of rooms near each other. We visited all the pools and enjoyed each one. Great areas for the smaller kids to splash and play in. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Bed Bugs! (July 2025)

We stayed one night at the end of July 2025. We woke up and discovered bed bugs in our bed. I captured a few of them in a water bottle and gave them to the manager who comped the room for the night. This was horrible and caused a lot of stress along with inconvenience as we had to take steps to avoid bringing any of these bugs into our own home. The room itself, a two bedroom unit, was actually a great layout. Aside from the bed bugs though there were several signs of neglect such as the number sign outside the door was completely covered in spider webs. Stay at your own risk.

Poor quality

They put us in an outdated section of the resort. Stairways were infested with spiders every day you had to weed through spiderwebs to get to and from the room. The first day we got there the air conditioner was low. On Freon in the room was hot being a platinum elite member I was expecting Better quality room.

Great place to stay.

I highly recommend the resort. All of the staff and amenities were wonderful.

Amazing hotel

It was quiet and very comfortable the 2 bedroom Villas are amazing the staff is always a text away if you need anything I love this place not to mention theirs an indoor water park on the property we always go here for vacation it's also right outside of Tyler so there's so many restaurants to choose from rooms are very very clean

First time

The hotel is old get what you pay for. Loved the pools the mini golfs they activities with the Activity center the basketball court. Now do not book this because you think they have a waterpark for free. It’s not free. They charge money on top of your hotel stay.

Like our stay

Overall the location was beautiful, grounds were in great shape. Some of the cabins needed TLC some gutters were hanging down and some deck railing were loose. Pools were nice but could have used cleaning (slit of bugs and hair floating in the pool.

The Villages at Lake Palestine TX

This hotel is not the usual but it was awesome. Very clean and comfortable. Well supplied kitchen. Waterpark was wonderful I just wish it would have opened earlier than noon and the smaller pools should have opened before 10 am.
