Wasnt expecting to be staying at a car dealership

This so called hotel was like being at a car dealership. Sleazy car salespeople i mean time share sales. I booked this because the express hotel next door was full. Went to check-in and all was fine but then was sent to other side of lobby for keys where the car salesmen were holding them hostage. Told them i was not interested in timeshare already paid in full and did not want to waste time to get free points. Car salesman there was extremely rude and tried to talk down to me about how this was his job. Sorry youre a scummy used car i mean timesales person. I just wanted keys to room and nothing else. Did not get a deal and was not expecting to be hounded about timeshares as i booked through ihg app and paid in full over $900 for 2 nights. Watched multiple salespeople with multiple people going on tours and trying to get hosed over. Were taking them into a building with rooms where no one was staying so was not actual place where people were. So sad that ihg did this to an elite customer who was just trying to spend time with family and not trying to get a discount or freebies.

Not pleased

We came down for our 33rd anniversary. Upon checking in we got room key but no direction to room. Instead sent to another desk to sign a paper for a tour. We were told we would get 30,000 points for showing up. Wayne said sign here and initial boxes and we would be on our way. After driving seven hours all we wanted to do was get directions to our room. After getting back to room I read the fine print. $80 if you didn’t show up. I called the number Wayne gave me only to find out the mailbox was full. My wife went down the next morning and was told to go to basement to speak with someone. And there they said no one would be there til 1 pm our scheduled time to help her. I’m sure this happens all the time and I’m sure customers are left feeling like your hotel had just pulled a fast one over them. The only response we got was well you signed the paper correct. Yes I signed the paper and initialed the boxes. But I truly think the way your facility goes about this is totally wrong. Wayne said we would get 30,000 points prob no fewer than ten times but not once mentioned the $80. Shame on you and IHG brand. I have stayed in Holiday Inn hotels exclusively over past couple years. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I’m very disappointed. Myself and my anesthesia company have other options and we will be addressing those in the future. Just a really bad look on your part and again you should be ashamed.

Gatlinburg Stay

The location was great. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The hotel itself looks nice and enclosed parking is a plus. However this is not a resort, there is no restaurant, bar, spa, entertainment, or any of the thinks that makes a hotel a resort. Yet you charged us a resort fee of $15 per night. Also I do not believe at a resort you have to take out your trash. I had to check out one day early due to a flight change driven by a medical appointment. I told the desk I could provide a letter from my oncologist explaining my situation. She said it would not be necessary, yet I was charged for the night even though I was checked out.

5 nights in Signature condo. Very nice.

Place was good. Needs some directions on use of washer and dryer combo. About TV in mirror. How to use fancy shower. Things such as that.

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

The entire hotel employees bent over backwards to help us where they saw needs, and accommodate us with kindness, smiles, and “good morning”s everyday. Some even remembered our names! There were 25 of us in 4 different units, and all I heard were thank yous and positive comments on the accommodations and the people working there. It doesn’t get any better than these employees who model the love of their company and leadership working there.

Beautiful property. Cozy stay.

Another great stay at an IHG property. Beautiful pools inside and out. Grills on the property if you need. Spacious, clean, comfortable rooms. Feel good walks and Trolley rides. Check-in was ok but the clerks were courteous. Kid's Splash Pool was a hit with the grandkids. We overspent in the Game Room but a good time was had. Saw about 7 sightings of bears, only one being close. It was up a tree as we walked by. Love the balcony. Very cozy with a calming water creek in view. Nice city, nice staff, really nice hotel. Acknowledged that we were IHG members. Love that, always a plus!

Not the nicest hotel, but was fine for one night

I requested a villa with a mountain view, and I understand that request is not guaranteed, but we had a view of large container garbage cans and some trees. Although it was a nice day outside, we did not care to sit on the balcony at all, which was very disappointing.

Perfectly between Gatlinburg and Nature Trail

Perfectly located between the bustling Gatlinburg and the serenity of the Motor Nature Trail in the Greak Smokies National Forest, this resort offers courteous staff and clean spacious rooms with great views. Watch the Ober Gatlinburg trams from your deck. So comfortable we didn't want to leave!

Great place for families or couples

Myself, my two college sons, and my mother-in-law stayed here while attending a church convention. It was wonderful having three bedrooms, one with two queen beds, and three bathrooms as well as a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry facilities. Comfortable beds, large bathrooms, big towels, and a well stocked kitchen were all appreciated as was having plenty of things like toilet paper, garbage bags, pool towels, etc. provided. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. REALLY appreciated at the other desk they respected my "no thank you" for a tour and there was no high pressure at all. Great place to stay with kids, with the multiple swimming pools (including in the winter) and the little indoor water park. Easy to walk down the hill to the main strip and especially easy to walk to the convention center. We did have some issues with the hot and cold water regulating in the master bathroom shower that were frustrating but hopefully they'll get that fixed. If you are staying during the warmer months, I would want to know that the A/C has trouble keeping up with the heat during the day, I was told this is an ongoing problem. I would also bring your own pillows unless you don't mind sleeping in a king size bed with small pillows. If you are driving and not flying and it's summer, I'd bring a fan.
