Holiday Inn Vacation and Resort Scottsdale Arizona
This resorts is one of the best I've been to in a while. The staff was very friendly, the Villa was very clean and the neighbors all also spoke highly about the resort and their previous stays. I would highly recommend this location to all.
Yes, I recommend this property.

GREAT VALUE
Enjoyed my stay. Villa was exceptional, I liked the evening entertainment on Thursday evenings, wish it was expanded to most nights of the week. Only downside was no restaurant or bar. Would have been nice if they offered a complimentary shuttle to nearby restaurants or shopping.
Yes, I recommend this property.

March getaway
Our plane arrived late Saturday but were greeted by friendly host and given our keys and given a map and dining suggestions in the area, We were then directed to a salesman who posed as a helpful guide then wanted to set up a 90 min meeting to discuss timeshare, We have no interest in buying and instantly he lost all interest in us. thats ok and that was his job and to his credit we did not hear from him again. Room was 9-301 and was great. huge kitchen and two nice bedrooms .. Cable and wifi worked well Room located next to nice pool with whirlpool and vacation was very relaxing. Only problem was a parking area immediately behind the unit behind a wall. i dont know who parks there but a very loud motorcycle woke us up around 5 or 6 am. Overall a great vacation and we will come back . sooner than later.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Points
We tried to book with our club points but were told there were no rooms. I went on IHG to find a hotel in the area and the club came up. It does not make sense to me that I cant book using club points but can using IHG points. If that is the case it should be a one to one trade and we can use our club points for hotel stays.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Vacation at staycation
We completely enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very nice and clean inside the rooms. The only issue we had was with the from desk people. When I walked in I walked straight towards the desk, but was not greeted by Erika and the other lady working. I had to listen to their personal crisis conversation then after a minute I finally interrupted them to ask them if this was the place where I check in. Erika then told me he other lady would check me in. After I got checked in I had to then go to another counter to get a parking pass. When I got back to the car my friend asked how long the line was cause it seemed like forever.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Art Lovers from Indiana
The 2 bdrm/2 bath condo style room was a pleasant surprise. Bigger than expected. The smaller bdrm had a covered balcony with a small bistro table and chairs. Full size kitchen. 6 person dining table at the end of the living room. Larger bdrm had a huge walk in shower (Nice!). The weather wasn't the greatest when we were there (rain), so we didn't use the pool area. The restaurant was non-existent (under construction we were told). There is so much to do in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area that this was a place to stay for us and not the "destination", but it looked like there were lots of fun outdoor areas if you stayed here with a family.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Updated and fun resort like
We really enjoyed how new this place was. Had a resort feel with all the fun activities. Close to shopping, restaurants and our venue that we were attending at Westworld. Would definitely return!
Yes, I recommend this property.

Great place to stay
We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Vacation Club Scottsdale a couple times now and have had a wonderful experience every time. The rooms are fantastic with the large kitchen and eating area which allowed us a great place to have meals in with the family. The pools and the organized activities gave us a lot of fun choices to fill the day. We especially liked the bingo and painting classes. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Low/poor value for the dollar
I am an ihg previous platinum member who booked one night with this hotel through my points program. I was staying with my wife and 2 year old on vacation. We booked this place due to the pictures of the kids pool area. I have stayed in many hotels, extended stays, and resorts through both my business and personal travels (locally and international). This resort rates the low for the following reasons: 1) The mobile website showed that there was an on site restaurant via the "accessibly" tab. When we arrived we found that the restaurant is still under construction. 2) The resort kids pool slides and water features close at 5pm. This is not printed in their materials or website anywhere. Check out is at 10am. Thus you loose being able to use a kids pool water feature on your check-in day since check-in is at 4pm. 3) Hotel staff knew nothing about the area for local dining recommendations other than recommending walking to the resort next door. 4) You must take out your trash to the door by 8am for pickup and are not allowed to leave it outside overnight. 5) I was denied a late checkout request (which is typically granted for priority club members) despite having a 2 year old with me and my priority club status. I did have the option to purchase a late checkout for $50. I was told there were only 3 available for the entire property. 6) The hotel bed sheets were noticeably thin. 7) We could hear the guests above us walking around due to no sound insulation in the walls. 8) No elevator for the 2 or 3 floors. Depending on the villa you might have stairs for the ground floor as well. 9) No recognition of IHG rewards club members during check-in. Positive: 1) The rooms are large and are a nice other than the cons listed above. This resort is geared towards a traveler who is staying for an entire week. It is not geared towards someone who is staying for 1-2 nights as you might do for a hotel.
No, I do not recommend this property.
