Love this place!

We have been coming to this hotel twice a year for several years now. We are never disappointed. It's location right on the beach is the best. The view of the rooms are excellent! The pelicans and all the birds are awesome. The staff like Esmerelda is always so helpful and strive to get you to your favorite room! Thank you so much for the great time, even making sure our daughter got a room on the same floor. See you guys soon!

Great place to make memories

My mom had never been to Galveston so we thought this would be a great time to see the ocean and walk the beach while she still can walk. She said it was the best gift for her 84th birthday. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.

My 3 Night/4 Day Stay in Haunted Galveston

All in all it was a great trip. The staff are amazing. I was on the beach. I should have gotten a room on a higher floor so I could stare at the beach/ocean. My room was haunted but it is Galveston. First night the alarm kept going off after midnight until I finally unplugged it. The next night I woke up after midnight and turned over only to have a man moan in my face. So I casually turned back over and turned on the tv and the light. I got up and paced around for a while. That was quite the experience. Also chairs were being moved around. Scrapping against the floor. For hours. I got up to check mine but they were in place. So I didn't think anymore about it. I view of the beach/ocean was obstructed by the bar. I was on the same level as the check in. They told me there were no other rooms for me to move to. Joining IHG got me nowhere. Something to remember. They have a beautiful infinity pool but there were bugs in it...under the water. I only discovered this as I was getting out of the pool. The weather and the ocean were hot. Jellyfish hot and I was eaten up by sand fleas as Isat in the surf. It was a week or so before Memorial Day Weekend. But I have to give it to the staff. They were awesome and that makes all the difference.

Great stay!

Excellent view, breeze, beach access, clean pool, plenty of chairs at pool. I will be staying again next month.

Hospitality

Everyone was very hospitable. The front desk personnel check me in @ 11 pm. I was sooo tired from attending my daughter’s wedding rehearsal. However, the red carpet was laid out for me the moment I walked through the door,

Nasty Roaches and smell

In the morning we discovered roaches in the kitchen around coffee maker and refrigerator and ruined our plans to have coffee and breakfast on the balcony. We got a 50 dollar credit but to me that was not enough since the room was over 350 dollars. Also the room next door gave a marijuana odor.

The best stay at a Holiday Inn ever!

When we arrived, check in was super smooth and the front desk did a great job of giving us the room we asked for while keeping us super close to the elevator. My husband is a disabled veteran and appreciated that alot! We were in Galveston for our 2nd anniversary and wanted to be on the beach, not across the street. This hotel is all by itself on the west side of the island, therefore it is quiet! Loved that. Our front desk, Stephanie, Diamond and Beth, communicated with me by text the whole visit, which was great! They checked on us and were very helpful. The room was awesome! Like a one bedroom apartment with sliding doors both on the living room and the bedroom! A whirlpool tub was a huge plus, and there was everything we could think of provided for-Dove shampoo and conditioner, dove body wash and hand soap. There was a dish sponge,dish towels and wash rags, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher pods and even little boxes of laundry detergent for the free washer and dryer that came with the room. Each pod of two rooms shared a washer and dryer. There were even paper towels! The elevator was a little wonky, but not enough to make our stay bad. It had a mind of its own sometimes, lol. we enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave. I did forget to mention there was a whirlpool tub in our bathroom, which was wonderful for my back! Our room was over the pool but on the 5th floor so it was not loud. We enjoyed watching the bathers and also had a wonderful view of the beach/Gulf. We will be back.

Lovely Facility!

My favorite place to stay in Galveston! Love the pool and boardwalk to the beach. Comfortable rooms and enjoy the full kitchen and balcony. Tipsy Turtle restaurant on site has really improved the quality of their food… very impressed this last trip!

Wonderful hotel

This hotel was absolutely perfect! Great location. Amazing views! Wonderful rooms! Right on the beach! Super clean. Nothing to complain about. Loved it!

Had a Great Stay

Great value for the money. The room was big and had all of the amenities you would expect. The bed was comfortable. Nice view of the gulf. Well-supplied kitchen so you could prepare your own meals. Not too far out on the west end, so you can drive only about 10-15 minutes and get to tourist destinations, many dining options and shopping for groceries and supplies. The only improvements I could see would be to make the access point to the beach better. There is a ramp from the pool deck, but it stops short of the dunes, so you still have to cross over through the very loose sand and sticker burrs. Hard to do while trying to carry your beach gear. Also, the TV's could be a little bigger, but wasn't a big deal.
