Not Happy

Too far from Tahoe activities, difficult to find and to drive to at night. No temperature control, had to use fan and keep window open to cool room. did like the two sinks, one in bathroom and the other in between. Bed too mushy. Where is the Holiday Inn Express in the south Tahoe area. No breakfast included for such a high price. Cannot have receipt emailed.

Nice stay

Beautiful location and great room! Just wish there were better food options. Especially breakfast! Lots of things to do on the property. Overall great stay!

False information

I was told I could not get and upgrade because they were sold out. I showed the lady at the check in there were plenty of rooms available for my dates but she said she checked and she cannot upgrade me. On the last day I asked for late check out she gave me til 11am. Isn’t platinum member supposed to get til 2pm? I fell this place was misleading and lying to me.

Villa really nice

Villa was really nice, loved the fact that it was 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. And even in the other bedroom a mini fridge and microwave and plenty of sinks

Great stay

We had a great time. We got a complimentary upgrade to the penthouse. The room was huge clean and we had our own personal parking spot

Beautiful view and great hospitality

The hotel staff were very nice, I’d say as our first time visiting this hotel it was hard to find our room, but we found it eventually, the wrist band keys were a plus. Loved the jacuzzi in our specific building. Wished they had breakfast in the morning though! On arrival day we went into the club house for a snack and drink at the restaurant it seemed the bartender was in a rush to leave and was kind of dismissive, and the new boy serving everybody on his own. He did very good but was slammed. Food was good beer selection wasn’t as good though for one of the guests that stayed with us. Another down fall was no air conditioning we expected this coming to the hotel but it would be nice. Room type was a little deceiving we were hoping to get a room with a grill and lounge porch with our 2 bedroom suite but the room was still nice! Had a lounge area down on the 2nd level by the spa. So it had the amenities just not where I thought they were. I also found shards of glass in the room and had the honor of stepping in some! It’s okay stuff happens HK just needs to do a better job with sweeps. Last but not least the pool at the clubhouse was quite dirty we favored the spa a little more at our building. All and all it was a great stay, had lots of fun and enjoyed ourselves! Few down falls but that’s okay!

No air conditioning. Room was so hot

I would have never guessed that there would’ve been no air-conditioning in this nice of a hotel/resort. When we checked in at the front desk, they informed us there was no air-conditioning and that there would be a fan and a portable swamp cooler in the room. She also told us to open the windows, but they only open 4 inches. She told us to just put ice in the swamp cooler… I asked if there were instructions? And she said no just put ice in it. So we did as we were told and it did absolutely nothing. The box fan they gave us was probably 20 years old and so loud. We did not sleep well at all. The second night I got smart and googled how to use the swamp cooler and it helped a tiny bit. You have to fill the base with water. I have never used one before so I didn’t know. I would never have picked this hotel in the middle of summer if I had known there was no air conditioning in the rooms. It definitely needed to be highlighted in the room description. Aside from that, the room was big and beautiful, but we really did not enjoy it because of the temperature of it. I’m just frustrated that I used 60,000 reward points for 2 miserable nights sleep.

Lake Tahoe

Best hotel I have ever stayed. Because I am from the South, it did surprise me there was not an AC, but considering the location… totally understandable and not needed.

Do not stay here in the summer

There is no AC. The rooms are out dated and the food was terrible. It is at elevation so be aware of this.

top of the ridge

the complex offers so many amenities, that while being at the top of a ridge, it is entertaining unto itself. the rooms are the best, nice and large.
