Suddenly surprised

We usually stay at another IHG property near Disney Springs, but decided to try a different property. So we chose the next closest to the Disney Bubble, and man were we surprised. The amenities at hand, the spacious rooms, the efficient and friendly staff... We were blown away. We were mainly in town for a business/leisure break from our hectic schedule, and we regretted the stay... because we just didn't have enough time to really enjoy the resort! There was so much to do and see, places to eat, things to do! We could stay a month and probably only get part way through all the amenities they offered! For the price point and the vastness of the available entertainment, food and so much more-it was amazing! We loved it so much, we became Holiday Inn Vacation Club members!

The resort

One of the best place to go with the family. Teybhad so much activities and locations to eat inside the resort. Access to all the different pools. Best part you can cook in the rooms. Full kitchen we go every year

I love staying here! There’s so much to do and the staff are always so friendly!! Gabriel at the store in river island was so helpful and friendly.

Meh

The hotel was nice but it definitely felt like if you aren’t a club member or don’t go to the presentation then you just don’t matter.

The golf could have been a little cheaper for members

Common areas good. Living units not so much.

Enjoyed the pools. The resort is showing its age. Common areas are good but the living units are fair to average. Trash visible around our unit and the surrounding units. We picked up some of it but not touching the rest without gloves.

No amenities

We used the services prior to getting the room. Once in the room, things were okay. Floors were dirty (not swept). We left for dinner and came back to no internet. I needed to work so I called the front desk who said a tech would be out shortly. 30 minutes later and no one. I called back and she said he was on his way out now. Another 20 minutes later and the tech showed up. He peeked behind the tv and the glanced in the master bedroom for the router and "confirmed" there was no router. He went next door where they're was a do not disturb sign. Apparently, they also called the room and no one answered so there was nothing they could do. The front desk called back and told me all this. I asked what we could do and she said they can't do anything until possibly the next morning when we checked out. I told her we needed internet tonight but she rudely said, "there's nothing we can do until tomorrow unless you move rooms but it's 10pm and you're checking out tomorrow". She never apologized or sounded empathetic, just told me matter of factly that there's nothing she could do. I understand all this, but she didn't try other options or even sound like she was trying to fix anything. I am very disappointed because I was invited by an owner and thought we'd get a room to spend more time with them only to be very disappointed.

Great stay

My stay at Orange Lake Resort was awesome! However, customer service could have been better.
