Disappointed
I arrived at reservation for check-in, I gave employee my owner identification card. The employee responded she didn't need my owner identification card to give her my driver's license instead. I was upgraded to a bigger room because of VIP status. When I arrived at the rental it was not cleaned. I called reservation to notify the room was not clean. Staff responded they didn't have another rental available until 2-3hrs. But she can have someone come to the rental in less than 10 mins and clean the rental. More than an hour went by. I called reservation, canceled the person that was supposed to clean and asked to speak to management. The next morning I received a call for a tour and benefits. I complained about the room. The person apologized and send an email to management. I went to reservation asked to speak to management. The person apologized, explained that they were busy but that I will be compensated. I had my personal information verified several times to make sure management could get ahold of me but I did not hear from management til this day.

Very nice stay
A nice resort stay. Close to restaurants, shops and theme parks. Amenities on the property were very nice. Lazy river pool and multiple pools. Food was very good at the two restaurants we ate at and drinks were nice too! Room was clean and nice. Hall ways need updating in carpet and entry area.

Horrible check in
We checked in at approximately 9:30 p.m. We had reserved a 1 bedroom. When we entered our room all the lights were on, the door to the adjoining room was propped open with a chair. We assumed the room was occupied. The cushions on the couch were disheveled, the mattress was propped up against a wall, and the bed frame was in 2 pieces on the floor. We returned to the registration desk. The clerk made some snide remarks about the room not being to our satisfaction. She said she could put us in a 2 bedroom immediately, but if we wanted a 1 bedroom we would have to wait for it to be inspected. We said we didn't care how many bedrooms, we just wanted a room, with a bed. She gave us keys to a 2nd room. Upon opening the door the lights were on, the washing machine was running, and we heard voices. Again, we thought we were in an occupied room. A young man walks out of the bedroom. We are shocked and I go back into the hall. My husband stays and the man says he is inspecting the room. The voices we heard were the tv's. No one ever apologized for any inconvenience of finally getting to a room at 11:00 p.m.

Wonderful family resort
This resort was perfect for our family. There were so many activities to keep everyone happy without having to go off property. We have 10 year gap between kids so that is important. Prices are reasonable and staff is great.

The poor customer service was worse than the cock
Checked in to a poorly maintained dated unit on the 2nd floor with no working elevator to find a cockroach infestation. After multiple phone calls a cleaning person showed up and killed dozens of roaches. After midnight we were finally offered a different unit. We decided to wait until the morning. Big mistake as my daughter was bitten over night. The next morning my son spent hours trying to get resolution from a condescending manager while a contract exterminator showed up and said “yup you’re infested”. Finally got a somewhat better unit and a laughable offer from a future visit. Like we would put up with such horrible customer service and facilities ever again.

My experience
Overall, we would definitely be come back to this resort. Facilities are great. Food was good. The rooms are very comfortable however, the bed itself was very hard and uncomfortable. I could feel the springs of the mattress poking my skin. Bathroom was not very clean. We found hairs from previous guests the first day and the shower had mold. I had to kill a few spiders and roaches and there was a bee hive by the window.

Amazing Vacation!
I've been visiting Orange Lake Resort for the past 4 years and have never had a bad experience. During this stay I was given a room that wasn't ready for a guest (the cleaning staff didn't clean the room yet.) Instead of making me wait, the staff gave me a new BIGGER room and allowed me to check in early. I am always very pleased with how friendly and accommodating the staff here are. I will continue to stay here for years to come!

Exceptional Stay
Everytime come to the resort we have a wonderful time, we try to go to all the pools sothe kids have a variety, but their favorite is River Island, we have a big family nephews ,nieces grandkids. It's always a pleasure!!

The resort is so big that it makes it difficult for them to provide a good service. They don't have sufficient staff and it takes more than 45 minutes to check in or ask for anything at the lobby. Making up rooms is also a nightmare so you need to pay for them to do it and if the fridge or phone are not working, good luck with that since no one is going to help you fix it.
