Beautiful Nature Surrounds

Beautiful place to relax, the small historical town nice to walk around and close to lake tahoe

Fantastic location

The springs are well laid out and maintained. The spa amenities are great for those who just want to relax and dont need pampering. Family friendly too.

Corporate holiday inn reservations mess ups

Any semblance of organization at holiday inn would have made the stay so much better. We were promised late check out, that our rooms would be in the same building, and that as paying guests, we would be able to use the spa facilities for free. None of that was true upon check in at Wally's. As an owner of a reno hotel/casino for years, and an employee of other local casinos, I can say this was beyond disappointing and unprofessional of holiday inn assoc. maybe the training is lacking? Maybe holiday inn doesn't care what promises are made? Not sure, but it was incredibly frustrating to deal with. Thank god the people actually checking us in at Wally's went the extra mile to make it right. They were fabulous. None of the three phone calls I made to the HI Corp line were even noted when our records were pulled up. The situation certainly wasn't for my lack of planning or trying to make the stay go smoothly. Notice, I said I had called the HI corporate line three times. This is not on the Wally's employees. Please do better.

Dirty hot tubs

Please clean the pools daily. They are very dirty. It seems like they were not cleaned for days. I’m not the only one who noticed. Other previous guests as well.

Bugs and Cold Food

Not clean rooms--bugs in the bed. Restaurant will place your order to the last of the line unless you have a reservation--per the manager when asked why it took 45 minutes of my single order (dining alone) to arrive. She said without a reservation, it can take up to an hour to receive a meal.

Not a resort

Old rooms, run down property. No breakfast, not a suite. Rude front desk. No real amenities. Expensive rooms

Great location, hot springs charges extra

We didn't know that there’s an additional cost for Hot Springs. It was $55 per person per day. As we stayed for a week there could be some package or discount. But great location, close to heavenly, 20 minutes to grocery stores.

The rooms and hot springs were just what was needed to relax and get away.
