Disappointing Experience: Unequal Service Based on

The experience was disappointed. One of the main issues was the service. Several of the waiters and servers did not seem particularly friendly or welcoming. We were given wristbands based on our reservation, and during our stay, I noticed what appeared to be a difference in the way guests were treated depending on the color of their wristband. Overall, this made my family and me feel uncomfortable and less valued as guests

Great for family vacation!

Great value for an all-inclusive resort. Spacious room, great views. We had a two-bedroom suite with full kitchen and two bathrooms. Staff was courteous, kind and responsive. Not everything at the buffet restaurant, La Veranda, was great, but with so many offerings, it was easy to pick something else to eat. I would stay here again, but would request a room in the building complex that overlooks the pool that is featured on the resort website (with the dolphin figures). That complex houses the main lobby, the convenience store, the gift shop, the sports bar, the social activities center, the self-service laundry, etc. The other complex, where we stayed is about a 5-7 minute walk through the buildings to get to the main complex. We didn't mind, our kids are older, but families with younger children might find it more convenient to stay in the main lobby building complex.

Fuimos con mi esposo y mi bebé de un año y medio. La pasamos estupendo! El hotel es muy familiar, lo cual fue bueno para nosotros y nuestro bebé. La Atencion fue excelente. La comida deliciosa la piscina es tan grande que no se siente llena

Great option for large groups, outstanding value

The Royal Sands is a great value for large groups/families! Pros: The 2BR suite had a ton of room and kept all 5 of us very comfortable for 7 nights in July. We didn't use the kitchen or dishes, but it's there if you don't do the all-inclusive plan. The balcony is large and has great views. Both pool areas and hot tubs are amazing. The beach is super close and very accessible. Lots of food options. The shows were lots of fun. Activities room and kids club are great. The entire resort if extremely well-maintained. Cons: Bathtub/showers could be updated but were clean and functional. Ordering room service via the app would be more convenient (as opposed to calling).

Great staff, good food.

Didn't know it was a timeshare hotel until I checked in! We had to move rooms and my son picked up an ear infection. Staff were fantastic though. Dr Claudia was amazing.
