Better Resorts - As seen from a frequent traveler

We stayed for 3 days and felt the room was very dated. The colors and the furniture seemed like it was pulled from the 70's and the overall experience was average. I will say if you decide to stay or even buy a timeshare here, you best open your wallet. We did not attend the time share presentation, mostly due to the pushy way it was presented. Upon check-in we were required to visit the sales desk so we could have a "parking pass". Then they tell you, you’ll get $150 in cash if you attend. Just more marketing in my eyes and I really did not need the money. After arriving in the room, we noted many yellow stains on the towels and noticed a message light on the phone. What do you know we had two messages, one was a welcome message and the other was a time share sales message. THEN at 9am the next morning, I was woken up by a call from.... YES the sales desk again, asking me to attend ANYTIME while we were there. Again I said No Thank You and asked that they do not call me again. The beds and pillows were like sleeping on the ground and resting your head on rocks. And as we explored the grounds it became apparent that most every "amenity" will cost you extra. We were there for a sports event at ESPN and the best part about the place was the River Island pool area. Basically if you enjoy being pressured to purchase a time share and enjoy paying extra for everything except to swim, then Orange Lake Resort is for you. I have stayed at many resorts in the Orlando area and we will not be returning to this one.

Great Property!

Our family has stayed here at least five times! Not only have we stayed as a family, our daughter's varsity volleyball team and club team have also stayed. With Disney being nearby, Orange Lake Resort is an excellent property to enjoy both short or extended stays. The condos have a great amount of space and a full kitchen. We will definitely be back soon!!

Great resort for family and kids

Many activities for kids and adults. Minutes away from Disney. Good value dining options. Rental Car Hertz on property for convenience.

Good service and uncomfortable bed

I am an owner and enjoy coming to Holiday inn resort orange lake but this year my bed within my villa was very uncomfortable. I return home with back and shoulder pain. The villa was very clean but for the money owners pay there should be more upgrades to the appliances, for example the vacuum didn't pick up anything and the bloom was the worst. The service was great everyone was nice and friendly and willing to help. I do not like the fact that every time I visit I am basically forced into during another presentation in which I attend and the salesman is so pushy and once you state you don't want to upgrade they instantly get upset. When I am on vacation I would like for my vacation to be just that a vacation without having to be at a presentation, upgrading should be a choice not an option.

Mixed Bag

Great location and facilities; especially swimming. Downside; on check-in multiple attempts made to have you take a tour regarding their time share program.

Orange Lake visit March 2015

Our vacation was great due in part to great weather and staying at a wonderful resort (Orange Lake). This is our 3rd trip since we became timeshare owners and we will come back every year! Orange Lake has bright, clean condo units that contain everything we need for a family vacation. Even the beds are comfortable! We also loved the convenience of having a washer/dryer right in our own unit as it helped us pack "light" so we could use the spare room in our suitcases for shopping at the nearby outlet malls :) Another great feature of Orange Lake is the restaurants onsite - some days we didn't feel like cooking or driving anywhere so we stayed and ate at the resort. Good food and very convenient - plus, the free shuttle bus is a bonus so you don't have to drive if your condo is further away from the main areas.

Disney Baseball

Great property and location. Very convenient to all the parks. Very quite and relaxing. Staff is very friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful Resort

The lines were extremely long fur check- in, went very fast though were very accommodating, my only negative was I didn't receive daily room cleaning , maybe I had to request that?
