Great time

Facility was well maintained and beautifully landscaped. River island was great pool time.

Nice Weather

A great vacation experience once you get past the high pressure sales pitch for ownership. Ridiculous to go through that just to get a parking pass.

Wonderful Experience

Had a wonderful time we will be back soon. Next time we will be able to stay longer to really enjoy the resort. Came to Orlando for Seaworld so we didnt get much time to spend at the resort.

Rooms are terrible

So initially seeing the property, it has a lot to offer. However, the room itself was less than desirable. We had a king room with a pullout sofa bed except when we pulled the sofa bed out for my 8 year old son, it had what looked like blood and urine on it, along with trash (see below photos). We immediately called to have it replaced and we were told an entirely new mattress would be delivered. We came back from dinner 2 hours later to find new sheets on top of the same stained mattress. We called again and by the time it was replaced (over 4 hours later), it was after 11:00 and we fell asleep waiting for them to return, and when they did return, they didn't bring clean sheets and told us we would need to contact housekeeping for that but that it was late so it may take a while as it is an "out of the ordinary" request. They never reached out to ensure the issue was resolved. I did talk to the front desk and told them how poorly it was handled, along with the fact that the milk we bought from the market was expired, and that we received a skunked beer at dinner that night (it was about 2 months past the sell by date)...she apologized and offered to reimburse me for the milk. Um, thanks?? To top it off, the room had a STRONG MUSTY/Stagnant AIR SMELL and everything in the room was damp...sheets and trowels always felt like they had moisture on them and a towel that was hung up never dried (probably why they aren't going green and encouraging guests to re-use towels). They only clean the room if you have been there more than 5 days and when we asked for more towels, they told us there was an additional charge. Are you kidding me?! We asked someone next door if their room was like that and they said it was so no use in trying to request a new room. I will say the property is nice and service in the restaurants and activity areas was great. Honestly, if they had done a better job of correcting our first issue, I might not be so salty but the pull out was disgusting and it is burned into my brain and they took way too long to correct it. And they seriously need to do something about the air conditioning or whatever is not removing the moisture from the rooms. That smell is aggressive.

Vacation

Our vacation started out very badly!! Family members had booked us at another resort. It was dirty!!! I suggested IHG!! I was very surprised you were able to accommodate us! Very pleased with our stay!!Vacation

Nice Winter Getaway

Our first stay at Orange Lake, came with friends who were on the 5th year attending the resort. Check-in was easy and the staff was very pleasant. We stayed in the West Village with a family of four the room was fine...a little tight at night when having the pullout bed out..but we weren't there to be inside anyway. River Island is very nice and easy to find places to relax. Our kids enjoyed the pool there and at West Village Waters Edge. Waters Edge has some fun in the evenings for kids and adults. Overall it was an enjoyable stay!

Excellent resort with many amenities, staff could be better.

This is a great resort with many amenities. It is a gated property so I felt very secure and there weren't people driving through the resort that shouldn't have been there. The villa was large, comfortable, and contained everything we needed for our stay. The on site restaurants had great food and staff, although the staff couldn't seem to figure out if they took reservations or not. Check in was a breeze except for our parking pass. Beware you will receive high pressure sales pitches to buy park tickets, go on time share tour, etc. They also kept calling the room to try and get me to purchase things. Otherwise, I had a great time. If your looking for an expansive property where there is no lack of activities, this is the place!

Beautiful Grounds with plenty to do

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful with plenty to do for everyone. Great for families with children or teens.... grandparents too! There is an additional fee for the some of the resort activities but understandable...putt-putt, floating tubes for the lazy river, rock climbing and the big water slide. Restaurants are all great and priced about right for a resort not too high. Resort staff and shuttle bus drivers were the best so friendly and always helpful! We were disappointed in the location of our villa 2095 next to the maintenance road and at 7:00 every morning the grounds equipment and truck noise would begin as they went in and out the street. Our villa was showing its age and needed updating. Noisy and loud air conditioner. We were disappointed that the picture advertised more of a modern looking two bedroom villa than the one we stayed in.... carpet in the master bedroom in front of the was sink stained - bed and pillows not the most comfortable and living room furniture not too comfy. I’m not sure we would stay again for the price unless we were guaranteed a newer quiet villa.
