Great place to stay w family with soo much to do. Really close to all theme parks and staff was soo friendly!!

great stay wish It could have been longer. enjoyed the different pool themes. everything you need is on the property.

Bugs in my room

Hotel was great until a cockroach crawled out from under the fridge.

Lovely facility, watch for the hard sell.

I stayed here with my wife and 2 children on my membership points. I'm a Spire Elite member with Holiday Inn and stay at Holiday Inn Hotels more than 100 nights per year. My wife was running the Disney Princess half marathon and we were just staying 2 nights on the way home to Boston from a vacation in Marco Island, Florida. I have to say the stay was really marred by the hard sell for you to take the "90 minute" tour to try to sell you on their whole timeshare deal. We checked in and as soon as we turned around from the check in desk, we were greeted with the painful, creepy experience of "getting your parking passes". This boils down to you having to listen to the sales pitch on the tour and saying no a couple of times and then you get the surly attitude and the parking pass is handed to you begrudgingly. The parking pass is just a ruse. It isn't needed and I didn't display it. My wife ran her half marathon and came back to the room to sleep and was woken up by 3 phone calls over the course of the day trying to get us to do the tour again. The facility is very nice, the pools are great for the kids and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped. I would definitely come back if it were not for the hard sell. Come on IHG, cut it out with the sales pitch and just make a desk available for people to go and book the tour if they want to. It's embarrassing to have to watch a sales guy try to sell me something that I think is a really bad financial decision.

Great family resort

From the second we pulled in we loved the resort. Comfy beds and happy staff.

Great time

My wife and kids enjoyed the stay as always. They need to change their AC filters though. We all woke up stuffy every morning and I checked the filters which were packed with dust. The facilities themselves are great. It is card only but you can bill food and drinks to your room so it's not a big deal. Very safe area and you won't see any trashy people, most likely due to it being out of that price range.

Orange Lakes

Great place to visit with friends or family. Place was designed with golfers with families in mind. Four golf courses of varying levels of difficulty and three separate pool complexes to keep the family happy. Close to Disney and Universal but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Major stores from clothing to grocery a short drive away. Family has been going there for 35 years and have enjoyed watching the resort evolve but still feels like a resort and not a corporate hotel site.

Nice resort. Just don't try and check in early, that doesn't work. They keep telling you they are cleaning your room. But still could not get into room till after 4

Don’t try to call them...

Don’t try to call unless you have lots of time to be transferred for one person to the next with long wait times, only to be transferred again. And when you finally get to someone, they promise to call back in 48 hours and don’t. After I booked my room and they charged me one night immediately, I simply wanted a confirmation that it was paid, simple you’d think! But no, they had to open a ticket to look into it and promised to call back, and never did. Had our room booked to the wrong person. And when I got home double billed me and not one person could understand why or how. And you guessed it, they had to open another ticket! And I still haven’t gotten a total bill yet. And for what they charge, you’d think they’d change the towels! But that’s actually an additional charge. I WILL never go back here again.

Great place to stay as long as house keeping does their job

Great family resort. Great place to stay just make sure you get house keeping to do their job. Found a pair of used boxers and sea shells under the furniture. Room was small and not like the ones we've had in the past. Very disappointed in the way the front desk handled once they heard about our issues. We tried to move but they weren't able to accommodate our request. The food staff is great, drinks/food were never a problem. Overall great family resort to visit.
