Excellent Resort
This resort had all we expected and more! This will be my go-to place from now on. Signature rooms provide beach chairs and umbrella, although you have to still carry them back and forth. Would be nice to have a locker near the beach for these items and a restroom. Very clean resort, you get what you pay for. Will be returning very soon.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Hotel and overall, I would rate it an 8/10. The experience was wonderful, but it lost two points due to accessibility challenges. I wish the doors had automatic openers—trying to hold the door while maneuvering both a wheelchair and a rollator was difficult. There was also no handicap-accessible ramp to the beach, so I had to carry my mother’s rollator up and down the stairs for her to enjoy the ocean comfortably. As a mom with a toddler, this also made using a stroller or wagon around the resort a bit challenging since the doors were heavy to open. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. The food was top-tier, and the drinks were perfectly balanced—not too strong, just right. A special shoutout to Jen at the Back Porch Pool Bar—she was by far the best bartender/waitress we encountered. She even interacted with my toddler and kept her entertained, which made the experience that much better. Our room was beautiful and exceeded expectations. The kitchen was fully equipped, giving us the flexibility to cook breakfast or order in. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. I also loved the added convenience of a washer/dryer with detergent included. This trip was extra special because it fell on my mother’s birthday (September 5) and mine (September 10). The front desk surprised us with a complimentary invite to a wine tasting, which was such a thoughtful touch. My mother also received a $300 resort credit for attending a timeshare presentation, which was very informative and has us seriously considering an investment in the future. This was our first visit to Myrtle Beach, SC, and despite the accessibility concerns, I can confidently say I’ll be back!

I loved staying in the same place with all of my adult children even the ones that could only spend the day loved the accommodations. My kids all voted to want to come back and make this spot a family tradition.

Hands down the best!
As an employee of over 30 years in the luxury hospitality industry and a travel agent (part time), I must say this place has it hands down!!!! Everything was clean and on point. Anything we needed was responded to immediately. I called from my cell phone from the parking lot and was greeted by name!! (That's MAJOR) We spent A LOT of time at the pool bar, Jen made us feel like we were her only guest even though there was a family reunion and other guest. We have stayed at many other properties in Myrtle Beach for years, even other Resorts, (we were married at one) but this has by far the best!!! We needed a late check out and was able to do that with a simple text message. Some of our party had late flights, we were offered to hang out at the market place and use the pool if we needed. Before we pulled off I already reserved our room for the next stay in 7 months. Great Job. You are 5 star in my book.

Horrible Check in experience as always
I am giving you one star mainly due to the horrible check in experience. I checked in at almost 11 pm at night (I drove after work). I am a member who has some points (basically like timeshare points); I chose to pay out of pocket as opposed to buying more points (which isn't worth it due the price plus yearly fees). One thing that happens for owners, including me during this stay, is that when you check in they send you to a second desk to get your wrist band/keys. You are rudely harassed about doing an "owner's update" (this is just a way for them to hold you hostage and try to rudely get you to buy more points - it is never just an hour). I am very polite but the man kept trying to ask me why, and would not take no for answer, I am tired and need to go, I do not have money to buy more, etc. I am normally more docile, but I had to directly ask if our wristbands are activated for room entry so that he would leave me alone. I am tired of dealing with people arguing with me every time I check in and questioning my husband and I about why we don't want to do an owner's update or buy more points. They weren't even offering me anything for the torture, and this time I paid out of pocket. For the short time I was in the room in the morning I also got phone calls (this is to try to get you to do an owner's update). The hotel itself is newer and right on the beach, but there aren't as many activities and things to do like the other resorts (just a small place to eat some items, no bowling or putt putt golf, etc.). Put me on the non-marketable/do not ask/"yellow" list for both out of pocket visits and for those I pay points for?

I really enjoyed my stay at the holiday inn resort staff was pleasant they accommodated me well if I had an issue! I would definitely be back to enjoy and soak up all the amenities!

By far one of the best stays
I would have to say this is the best place we have stayed yet, the staff was fantastic and everything was so clean and welcoming. They make you feel really safe and comfortable while you’re there. The only thing and I mean only thing I would change about this place is that it needs a full sit down restaurant, you have to pay for breakfast while your there and everyone I spoke to that was staying there all agreed this is one thing that should change. But still even with that little hiccup this is still by far the best place.
