Great stay on the west side of Galveston Island

we wanted to get away for a few days between K-Pop concerts and found The Holiday Inn Vacation Club seaside. We really liked the location of the resort, being away from town and isolated to the quiet area of the island was nice. The buildings were very impressive, but the size and features of the rooms were even more impressive. The grounds were very well maintained and enjoyable. We played tennis, mini golf, billiards and enjoyed the pool. All in all we had a great time and were able to relax and decompress.

Daughter to beach trip

Brought my 5 year old daughter to beach and this has always been out go to resort to stay at Everytime we come to Galveston. Was curious about the resort since re building from hurricane damage. Place was amazing and clean and staff is always friendly and very welcoming.

Billing problems

The stay and location was nice. Issue is with billing. When I checked out the hold on my card was not released. When I called 14 days later the hold was released but I was told to call back in a couple days and talk to a manager if it wasn’t. A week later I put in a billing incident with IHG and I was told that the hold wasn’t released until I made the phone call to the hotel and it would be 7-10 business days until it was released.

Perfect beach getaway!

This was our first time to Galveston. The resort property is away from the bustle of the touristy areas, and was just so lovely! The rooms were amazing, loved the private balcony. The accessibility to the beach made for easy beach days!

August weekend

There was constant communication with hotel staff via text message. All questions answered almost immediately. All requests addressed within a few minutes. The rooms were amazing as always.

Birthday Getaway

We booked this property for my wife's birthday weekend. Property is huge but still felt cozy. Pool was clean with lots of shady tables around it. Villa was spacious with the most comfortable beds. My family really enjoyed our time here.

Would return to this resort

We had a great experience. With little kids, we like to have a full kitchen, multiple rooms, and activities on site beyond the beach. We are looking to go back with our extended family. I would recommend asking to be in a building up front vs the back especially if you have little kids - up front gets you closer to activities and the beach. The onsite "snack bar" is not a restaurant, but more of a kiosk like you might find in a hotel.

Almost a great stay.

When we checked in and saw the room, we extended our stay immediately. However, the first night revealed issues—mainly that the air conditioning couldn’t cool the master bedroom after our showers. Combined with the humidity and a broken ceiling fan, sleeping was impossible, so we had to sleep in the living room. We reported it to the front desk. A note said someone had checked the fan but left it unrepaired. We called again, and someone offered to replace it—we agreed—but nothing happened. The second night we had to all sleep in the second bedroom that had its own HVAC unit. On top of that, there was no shampoo or body wash in either shower, which was an unwelcome surprise. We asked the front desk to fix it, but instead of checking all bottles, they simply left a single body wash bottle in a plastic bag at our door while we were out. The issues in their own wouldn’t have been as big of a deal, but the lack of attention by the staff plus the heat aggravating my sleep apnea made things so much worse. The simple act of dealing with the lack of shampoo and soap so we could wash the sand off before bed and fixing the fan so I could sleep would have made the stay much more enjoyable.
