Great Place to Stay
We love staying at the Desert Inn Holiday Inn resort in Las Vegas. It’s a block off the strip. Clean. Quiet. Rooms are nice. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Price is good. Overall it’s a great experience especially if you want off the hustle and bustle of the strip.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Disappointed In The Cleanliness of rooms
We stay every year at the HICV in Florida and love it . Thought we would give it a try in Vegas. We were a little skeptical after watching a YouTube review. We walked into our 2 bedroom condo and thought this is great until I walked past the shower and saw a dirty washcloth in the shower and looked at the shower floor and saw it was dirty. I called the front desk and they sent up cleaners. After the cleaners left I went to use the toilet and it was full of debris. I couldn’t believe it and it made me question how clean things were that you couldn’t really see…. Like the bedding. A few days into our stay we found a sock that did not belong to us in our bed. Very disappointed in the cleanliness that we expect from HICV. I do have pictures of the shower and toilet. Also one pool out of service we were told about at check in but the hot tub also did not work. The front desk/check in staff were nice the bell hops extremely nice. The outside staff took excellent care of the outside. Great location.

Scammers
The hotel is fine. The timeshare part is where I take issue. We initially signed up to do the timeshare under the agreement that we get a debit card to use on site toward food and drinks and then cash after the presentation. We decided the time of the presentation didnt work for us and tried to cancel it and give the unused debit card back. The desk person said no but to come back the next morning to ask the manager. We went at 9am to ask but no one was there. So my boyfriend went back after dropping me off at an event and they told him that we had to check out before the start of the presentation (9am). That was never told to us at check in or mentioned in the paper that gives all the stipulations of being eligible for the presentation. The manager mark told my boyfriend he heard the desk person (sharisa) tell us about the check out stipulation. However, Mark wasn't even in the same room when we checked in. I've never had hotel personel call me a liar. They also said they were there at 9am which was also a blatant lie and then tried to backtrack when my boyfriend told him he was there at 9am and no one was at the desk. Just poor poor customer service. Liars and gaslighters. This was supposed to be stress free and instead I was having to deal with their incompetence while attending a concert. I would never stay here again even if it was free.
No, I do not recommend this property.

A
A. Bugged me about a timeshare multiple times after I said no the first time. Other than that a good stay, good location and nice staff. Rooms are a bit noisy as the walls are paper thin
Yes, I recommend this property.

Friendly and Quiet
Very nice place, can watch all the scenes shown on the Sphere. Wish it were pet friendly. Convenient location and very quiet, even early mornings! The people working there, every single one of them, were super friendly and kind!
Yes, I recommend this property.

Avoid at all costs.
Paper thin walls, you can hear everything outside and upper floor, we were put in building 2 and couldn’t sleep from street noise, due to the formula 1, works were performed at night and the whole room was shaking in times from bulldozers smoothing the asphalt on the street under our window, even we could hear how security was shouting on passerby’s , when went to ask for another room at 4 am Fernando from staff was so rude to shout as if it was my mistake renting with them, said they are fully booked and proposed earplugs. This is one episode of the several other faved at this resort, you can hear people walking above you and whenever room above turns on the shower it sounds like a jet engine started, no kidding. Being a Platinum Elite member is not even recognized service wise.. personnel shrugged off our complaints at every turn and simply mentioned this is a timeshare hotel.. it’s a shame that IHG is lending them the franchise as it hurts the brand. My worst experience in an IHG hotel ever, and I’ve been a member for over two decades. Save your effort and energy and reserve anywhere else.

Racial comments and abuse towards customers
I have been to many hotels but never have i ever faced to a racist and F* word comments from front desk person. I am sure IHG doesnt have any policy related to racisim or abuse or else front desk guy "Rafael" would have dared to talk to us like that. We were on our last leg of our vacation and checked in to this hotel, front desk guy "Rafael" checked us in didnt greet us for our platinum elite status inspite of me showing him the paper which was kept to welcome me with my status. He gave the keys and I left to my room. When i found out the room was on 3rd floor and there is no elevator, i was worried about my mother who is 65+ and cant climb stairs. I went to the front desk and was trying to explain him that she cant climb stairs and can you please give us 1st floor room, not sure what triggered him, he started giving racial comments and when i called out his racist comments he used the f* word and asked us to get the F* out of his property. Really his property ? i am not a person who engages in heated conversation. I was worried for my kids and family so i kept quiet. There was a lady nearby, emily who asked us to come aside and enquired about what going on, i explained her whats going on and she was very professional and quietly said its not possible as they dont have any rooms. I asked her what will be the situation if a wheel chair lady comes and you dont have rooms on 1st floor what will you do ? she said we will call security and help her to 3rd floor, so i talked to security. Security came to building 5 and did the assessment but because there is a liability that she might fall they refused to take her up. My brother and Mother had to book a different hotel and stay there as there was elevator access to go to their room. As it was midnight already so we stayed in the same hotel on 3rd floor. I never support racism which happens to others and i will not accept racism against me. People who are coming with families and facing this type of harsh treatment should never face this. If IHG is really against racism they should really investigate this and should take strict action against this property owner and the front desk guy "Rafael". Sadly this might be my last stay at IHG, i will surely voice my ordeal out on social media so people know what going on.

We'll be back.
We are IHG Elite Platinum members and we booked this using our points. It was our first time at this property and we were pleased.

Highly recommended
I attended a conference at Caesar's Forum all week. I used the hotel as my home base. I appreciated the roominess for a week long stay. It is a 15 minute walk to the entrance to the Forum. Conveniently located to the Linq Promenade and the Monorail. The room was spacious like a one bedroom apartment. I had plenty of space to work, relax, and sleep. I was especially pleased to find a washer and dryer in unit. The kitchen was great for storing leftovers and then reheating with plates and utensils. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Have Evelyn make you one of her Bloody Mary's with love.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Front desk is slow
It took much too long to get some assistance at the front desk. There was only one other guest in front of me, and it took 15 minutes to check them in. There was only one person working the desk, and he didn't even acknowledge me while waiting nor apologize for the extremely long delay.
Yes, I recommend this property.
