Overall ok but not "high end" service

Overall, we were actually happy with our stay but I think we maybe downplayed our expectations based on reading reviews before we arrived. The floors of our suite were dirty...we just quickly cleaned ourselves with spare towels because we had some issues/delays with check in and getting a partking pass and did not expect to get much in the way of quick/effective response from the staff/service. One thing I forgot to mention in my review to the hotel was that the walls/ceilings see to be REALLY thin. We were on the bottom floor and could hear the people walking around above us whenever they moved around. Luckily for us we spent VERY little time in our room and were up early but I also remember woking up at night and having a hard time getting back to sleep because the person in the room eithe next to us or above us was snoring and as I mentioned the rooms/walls are ANYTHING but "soundproof". From an overall hotel standpoint it's not terrible but if you are expecting a "high class / quality resort experience" I would recommend going elsewhere or come here but keep your expectations low. Pool and hot tub area were pretty nice. Place was under constrcustion so we did not get to try out the restaurant/grill (not open yet). Fintess center was not elaborate but woudl have been acceptable to us...we were up early most days though and were out on hikes/etc so we did not use it.

Great Service and a nice property!

The property was just as it appeared online. Check-in and checkout were efficient and easy. The unit was neat and clean and all appliances were working properly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and the water was clear. A great value for the money.

Got off to bad start when at check in they swiped my card for a security deposit and advised it would be credited in 4-14 days ! Give me a break, not even Hertz does that . Why? They already have our card info. Room was well appointed and kitchen well equiped, Resort still under construction, bar and rest. not open, Resort next store is within walking distance but a wine is $15 / glass. Resort is on edge of desert but soon will have no view of beautiful mountains as adjoining construction will block it. (and that construction woke us at 6 am every morning. Property was tight but well maintained. Things to do within 20 min- Frank Lloyd Wright house tour- best tour guide we ever had anywhere and Desert Botanical Gardens but go early to both as it gets hot out there.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Outstanding Suites, But Restaurant and Bar Closed

The newly renovated suites in this resort are truly outstanding. Large, updated, open and comfortable. The front desk staff was also very helpful and friendly. The new fitness center is spacious and has nice new treadmills, ellipticals and bikes with TV monitors, some free weights, etc. Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar were undergoing renovation, and were not open during my stay. If these things are important to you, check on the status before booking.

Hotel construction woke us up at 8am the day after our wedding

I am sad to say that my fiance and I had a bad experience at this property and will not be staying here again. We chose to stay at this hotel for our wedding night and recommended this property to friends and family who were coming in from out of town. The room itself was nice and the front desk staff was friendly but we were not told at any point that the hotel was under construction. We pulled up to the hotel to see half of the property blocked off by construction barricades. After checking in, we walked by an outdoor storage area right near the pool that was very unsightly. We got to our casita and climbed the three flights of stairs to our room on the third floor. We saw that the castia directly next to us was blocked off by the construction barricades but did not think anything of it because the front desk staff did not say anything about it and the following day was a holiday. (We checked in on Valentine's Day). We had the time of our lives at our wedding and got back to the hotel late and finally got to sleep around 1am. The following morning, my husband and I were woken by loud hammering and drilling at 8am. We tried putting pillows over our heads but the construction was happening on the third floor literally right behind our heads. We were immediately awake and were very angry that we were woken up on a holiday by construction and were never told about it ahead of time. We spend another night at the hotel and checked out on Tuesday morning. I went to the front desk to check out and voiced my concerns to the front desk staff. They apologized but did not offer any discounts or refunds on the rate I paid for the room (which was not cheap). She did write down my concerns and said a manager would give me a call that day. I waited all day and no call came. I have now given them 4 business days to get in contact with me and have not heard anything. I am extremely disappointed that we spent as much as we did to stay here when we could have stayed at a different hotel a block away and had a better experience. There were lots of hotels in the area for us to choose for our wedding night and I am so upset that we chose to stay here. I will not be staying here or any other Holiday Inn property again and will warn my family and friends about my experience.

no sound proofing. Could here guests on both adjoining suites. HVAC very loud, should have 2-speed fan.
