Desperately need updates and improvements

This resort need to be updated!! The kitchens are HORRIBLE with rusting appliances, blue tile with grout that hasn't been cleaned in decades. There was even foil on the kitchen burners. Additionally there is a bath/shower combo that is very hard to get in and out of. The silver on the mirror is breaking down from decades of use and need to be replaced. The beds are uncomfortable and the road construction outside will prevent you having a good nights sleep. Additionally window dressing will not keep the light out during the night. The resort has no activities. Additionally you will have to pay $38/day for beach chairs. We were in room 207, the pool chairs are positioned so that if you are sitting on you deck the people at the pool are staring directly at you NO PRIVACY. This was not a good experience. It was horrible and thee was never a manager on site to help. We checked in on Monday and was told the manager would be on site the next day, it was the house keeping manager. The resort manager wasn't onsite until Thursday. The resort could be great because the beach is wonderful but it is currently a hot mess. Holiday Inn club needs to do better or get out of the timeshare business. What a ripoff!!!

Lied Too

We stayed in room 206 and our beds were extremely Hard and worn out, It was so worn out that if you didn't sleep in the middle of the bed you would probably roll off the bed into the floor. The Hot Tub outside did not work. I called before booking and was told it everything was working. Then the night before we were to stay I called to confirm again. When we got there we were told the Hot Tub had not been working in weeks but it would be fixed that day. We stayed 4 nights cause it was non refundable. Hot Tub was never fixed. We were Lied too.

Good location, great pool and beach area

Easy to get to hotel. While we were there there was road construction out front, and it will be much better soon. Pool and hot tube outdoor areas were great with easy beach access through a gate and down a walk way. Staff was very helpful. Our goal was to have a couple days of being able to walk out of our hotel and put our toes in the sand and this hotel suited us well.

A very, very pleasant stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay -- and are already thinking of returning next year. The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The staff was beyond helpful! The location is good and the amenities are great.

Hotel Worker’s Honesty

We left 2 expensive ice packs in hotel room freezer. Hotel front desk contacted us on way home saying we had left them in room freezer section of refrigerator. They arranged to ship them home for us. Hats off to person cleaning our room and informing their management of this. Says a whole lot about the type of folks working at this particular hotel and the management there as to who they hire for their workforce!

Great Service and Nice Room

The staff and services provided were great. The room was nice and clean. The parking lot was an ice-skating rink, and could have been managed better, it was difficult to park in the covered parking are due to capacity, and the uncovered parking area was hazardous due to improper flow of water and weather conditions. The continued construction in front of the resort was an inconvenience as it has been prolonged over a year and blocked one of the driveways. We stay every year for a birthday trip and hope by next year the construction will be finished. Overall, we were not disappointed with the resort, accommodations, or staff.

Problem with payment of charges

Wasn't a good start for our honeymoon, due to the problems with the charging debt card 3x for the remaining balance of the reservation instead of the credit card given to for the remaining balance. I wasn't able to use that account until charges were resolved. The problems were fixed 3 days later but definitely interrupted the joyful time we were supposed to be enjoying!

Not a restful stay, very inconvenient

There was major construction going on and the hotel should have been close until it was completed. I felt taken advantaged of and didn’t enjoy my stay. We could sleep and the workers started too early in the morning 6am and no one wants to go to a hotel and be waken after during 7 hours to get there. Not a pleasant stay.

Ocean view

Great location. Clean room but too much construction going on and no discount for unusable area of fire pit. Scaffolding blocking partial view from balcony. Sandy entrance dangerous for motorcycles.
