No A/C, No Communication From Management

Second night we stayed the A/C did not work. It got to 85 in the room. Worst night in a hotel. I called in and a manit. man came and changed completely clean filters. said he was getting off work and "call back in if it did not cool down, but nobody would be able to look at it until the morning". went to front desk that next morning and she had no idea we had called in or had a problem. Seems like a lack of communication. She seemed very sincere and said she would take my name and number and have the manager call me. well its been 5 days and no one has reached out yet. I sent an email with pictures to the front desk manager with no response.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Horrible experience

Booked a grand villa but got a lodge, even though they still charged for the villa. Pull out bed in our room didnt have blankets. Had spiders and I got stung by a scorpion in the room. Bath tub was filthy. Dry didnt work good. Staff is horrible and not on the same page a the booking agency. Missing pots. Coffee maker unusable

Good, Bad, Ugly

First the good. The room was exactly as pictured on line: very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. It had a great view of the lake and ample parking. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. When we first arrived in our room there was only one laundry detergent and no shampoo, conditioner, or dishwasher tabs. Fortunately, we had reserved both sides so there was a second dishwasher since the one in the main kitchen had black stuff growing in it. We called, and maintenance in a man to run CLR through the dishwasher. It didn’t work. My wife prepared to fry eggs and bacon the next morning she found the frying pan main kitchen dirty and with the nonstick coating flaking off. Fortunately, frying pan from the small kitchen was fine. They offered us money to sit through a 90 minute timeshare presentation which turned into four hours. I’m sure their version of the timeshare is great for some people, but it does not fit our method of vacation and I was running out of ways to say no. A day or so into our stay my wife noticed some bites around her ankles. The next day we discovered the bites came from the flea infestation. They completely covered her and my shoes and socks when we walked into the carpeted sections of the room. We were promptly to another room. This rate was actually stopped with soap etc. but the dishwasher also had black stuff growing inside of it so we had to use the one in the small kitchen. We could not get the Wi-Fi to work anywhere except the head of the bed in the master bedroom. We asked about it for three days and was told someone would be there shortly to reset the router. He came around 8 o’clock the night before we left and could not find the router. I asked to speak to the manager on duty several days and was told she would call me when she came in. I have yet to hear from her. Other than getting tickets printed at the front desk the only real help I got from anyone was from Ginger who helped get the incorrect bill straightened out. Beautiful facility and area, but we will not be back.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Enjoyable stay.

Looking forward to my next visit. Plenty of activities on the property for everyone with lots more to do just a short drive away.

Not worthy of “Holiday Inn” name or being called a “resort”

Rude staff, misleading marketing, terrible set up, extremely loud (thin walls). Highway in middle of “resort”, got a sales pitch at check in, items in room weren’t functional (broken toilet and TV remote), I’m normally not a complainer but I could go on and on about the let down this place was.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Vacation in Hill Country

When we pulled up to the property we were all so excited. It is a beautiful and well maintained property on the exterior. We chose this hotel due to its location which was great. Our room smelled AWFUL! I called the front and housekeeping came and sprayed febreeze everywhere (that helped for an hour) and maintenance came and changed the air filters. The smell was so bad that I requested another room but the property was fully booked so we went and bought plug in air fresheners to place throughout the unit so we could sleep there. The carpet was disgusting and needs replaced. My shower had what looked like beard shavings all over it. The neighbors above us were loud every night until 1 or 2 am. Our unit overlooked the pool area which closed at 10pm and gates were locked. After pool hours people were jumping the gates and again keeping us awake. When my husband and kids went down one night to use the hot tub it was broken. Our internet was not working and had to be manually reset by an employee.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Great stay and amazing vacation!

I had several of my friends and family stay with at the resort property. We had an amazing time and everyone enjoyed their stay. I also loved how close the resort was near all everything in Hill Country area (San Marcos Outlets, the River, Wine Country, and National Parks. I would definitely stay there again and might plan another trip for next year.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Great stay with the family

We were extremely satisfied with everything during the stay. The rooms were amazing and property was beautiful. Only recommendation is bring your own towels because they don’t bring you fresh ones and if you aren’t at the main pool there isn’t a place for you to check out pool towels.

Yes, I recommend this property.
