Hoped for More Based on Price
We had high hopes for our stay. Sadly things fell a bit flat for us. We booked a room with breakfast and could only stomach it one day. I had hoped for better value and taste. The breakfast you book online doesn't fully include breakfast. That is not mentioned anywhere that I remember reading while booking. You get a $30 credit. Most items are over $12 and coffee is $3.50. You exceed that with two people quickly, even when getting basic items. You aren't refunded what you don't use either. We truly lost money because it wasn't for us. The lunch/dinner wasn't for us either. The food quality was not there. It felt like eating at a school cafeteria with better window dressing. They automatically add 18% gratuity to their checks. They are gracious and point this out so you aren't caught off guard when reading the final bill (even for the prepaid breakfast). We tried the main menu and had to have delivery after that. We had challenges with the room, and only after asking what the early departure fee was after hours of frustration did we get serious engagement to resolve. I was ok with leaving because very nice condos are available close by for half of the price. Lissa at the front desk is the property's saving grace. She tries her absolute hardest for all guests and is the only reason we did not leave the next day. She did what the manager on duty could not. Sadly we overheard some not so nice conversations from other staff, including alluding to guests could just wait for him if the bar wasn't open on time. I know being in service can be a huge challenge but those types of conversations should take place off of the floor so to speak, not openly where everyone could hear. Parking in the back buildings is scarce and stays full. Prepare for parking challenges there but the rooms are much nicer. Prepare to be hounded by staff trying to sell you the 90 minute tour. It's a serious bait issue. We were not given our keys at the check in desk. We were sent to another desk to get them saying they had them, no mention of why. The man starts talking about a $300 resort credit for their food/beverages or $150 cash along with other ticket possibilities instead. It isn't until much later does he let you know it's for the 90 minute tour commitment where they will try to sell you their VIP Experience, which is basically a timeshare. If you pass then, prepare to have your in room phone to ring and ring. You will be told you are on the VIP list, that is what they call the program. The phone rang much so I unplugged it from the wall. Upon check in, we were not offered the usual amenity choices for elite rewards. There was no mention of the room upgrade that can come with it. We understand it is always based on availability but there was zero conversation about any of it. Acknowledgement and saying we are not going to be able to offer that for this stay would have been welcomed. We don't ever outright ask for the upgrades. Usually staff address it. The only nod to it was, "Welcome Home." Only upon check out did I see the points had been given for the amenity option that should be offered at check in. They are almost too high volume to really focus on any of that so this is a know before you go warning. There is music on the pool deck from between 9/10 is AM until around the same time PM. There is no break to just enjoy being at the pool. It's always on and if you have a room near the pool you are going to hear it. There is one "quiet" pool at the back buildings but the children can't even play due to the rules. Even if you are not loud, no ball tossing, etc. The lazy river is quite lazy and the spa is very hot. Be prepared to propel yourself along the lazy river. While we enjoy water features, if you aren't the type to get your face wet then proceed with caution. Buckets will dump on your head. The lazy river was warm and inviting for us. The larger pool beside it was significantly cooler. It would be lovely to have both at the same temp. The beach is a good walk from the front building/pools but close to the back ones. Bring comfy walking shoes to enjoy the walk. Their beach is a fantastic place to watch any shuttle launches if you don't want to leave the property. You do not have stairs to navigate. There is a long winding and sandy path that we found to be devine, especially at night! Jetty Park is close to those back buildings as well. It's a nice park! We enjoyed watching the cruise ships pass. They are fairly close and that is neat to see. We loved hearing their horns as they departed! We found our rooms to be very clean! The two bedroom king and double bed option was spacious for two people. The kitchen has all of the gadgets you might need, including a blender. They provide a starter pack of washing detergent, kitchen towels, dishwasher tabs, Tide etc. They were sufficient enough for us to not need to buy any extra. The coffee pots are drip makers, not K cup machines (we planned accordingly). There were plenty of towels in the room and eight pool towels. They do provide dove products in the bathroom for use if you wish. The corner tub is absolutely great for an end of the day soak. Be sure to book the correct room type though because not all rooms have tubs. There was always ample hot water available, which was a blessing! For the price point, we expected much more out of the experience. I think they charge for the location to the port. If you are going on a cruise and need a one night stay, there is a Holiday Inn Express right across from this one.
No, I do not recommend this property.

Lovely vacation spot.
Lovely place to vacation. The building closes to the beach is so great! Love the small trolly ride to the main building for the restaurant and waterpark. Would love to come back soon!

Pros & Cons
This resort is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of activities to keep you busy and direct access to a stunning beach. The ocean water was perfect, and spending time there was definitely the highlight of my stay. The on-site restaurant was reasonably priced, and while the food was just okay, there weren’t many nearby dining options, so I ended up using DoorDash for more variety. Unfortunately, my check-in experience was disappointing. After traveling for over 30 hours, I was hoping for a little understanding or flexibility from the morning team regarding early check-in. Instead, they showed no effort or empathy, which really set a negative tone for the start of my stay. I also overheard restaurant staff speaking poorly about other guests, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Small inconveniences, like the lack of in-room coffee creamer refills and confusion over incidental charges at the market, added to the frustration. However, I want to give special recognition to Lissa, who worked the evening shift. She completely turned my experience around with her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests. Her warm attitude truly made a difference and left me with a much more positive impression of the resort overall.

Paper Sheets
What would make this stay worthwhile? Having better sheets that don’t feel like paper. A sink that drains the water. A comfortable mattress where you don’t feel springs popping out.
No, I do not recommend this property.

Won’t use for a port location again.
Zero accomplishments. Nothing in walking distance.

Not what we were expecting, disappointed stay.
Hotel was ok, we did not get the resort feeling mainly due to no communication about activities and the lack of activities. We were close to the beach so that was a plus. There was no house keeping service and it was very difficult to get clean towels on a few occasions the front desk employee was very rude. We were there for 6 nights and upon check in we were asked to go to a sells pitch for vacations with IHG we were told no pressure at all just go for the 90 minute talk. We were there for nearly 3 hours and we were getting drilled by 4 different salesmen because we said no. They were very upset with us and at one point told me and my wife that we are not smart before saying no. The water slide was closed everyday so my grand kids could not go on the slide at all. I paid over $2,000 and at the end of the day it felt like a hotel not a resort like what the was trying to force us to buy into. Also one of the elevators were not working, and quite a few maintenance issues in the room.

Front desk staff turned me off
The front desk staff might shift specifically turned me off to the stay before I got there. Two particular people were not helpful in a medical emergency and gave me a hard time and my children
No, I do not recommend this property.

OK, average.
Nice complex with several on site activities available, easy access to beach and plentiful parking. However, more staff needed at reception desk, 1 is not enough to be dealing with check in/out/other guest queries. When we got to our room only 1 bed was made up, we had to get the sofa bed out and fully make this, sofa bed then very lumpy when slept on, air con system came on sporadically and sounded like an aircraft starting up, little storage space. Overall, decent facilities on site including cafe area which has a selection of food throughout the day, staff friendly and helpful, good size rooms with nice kitchenette area.
