Meet James, Your Tahoe Ridge Resort General Manager

Good day Tahoe Ridge Owners! My name is James Coon I am your Tahoe Ridge Resort General Manager. While I have been in the time share industry for over twenty years, I proudly started my current tenure at our Tahoe Ridge Resort on 8/19/24. On this first day, I knew that it was a privilege to serve our Ridge owners by leading such a talented group of hospitality professionals at this one-of-a-kind spectacular setting. I have been amazed with The Ridge. First of all, I don’t think Mother Nature wants us to live on The Ridge since she can be pretty harsh on us at times. However, that harshness reveals the high caliber of our special team members who work up here at The Ridge. This is not an easy place to work. It’s even a challenging place to get to each day. It’s the hardest resort I have ever worked at in my entire life. However, it’s the most rewarding resort too, as it has so much potential. This is beyond a job for me; serving others and cherishing special places is what I feel I was born to do, and it’s who I am. My purpose in life is to positively impact as many people as I can, and being at The Ridge gives me a chance to fulfill that purpose. The Ridge Resort is right where I am supposed to be right now since it’s where I can impact many owners and many team members. I am thankful for the privilege of being your General Manager of The Tahoe Ridge Resort. Thank you for having me.

My Management Goal:

All through my career I have always worked to create an environment where the team feels trusted, valued, and respected. If the team doesn’t have these key factors, a resort will not succeed. I have been preparing for a position as big as the General Manager of the Tahoe Ridge my entire career and it will be my mission to bring a fun environment high up on The Ridge where the team is engaged and delivers exception results for all!

My Message to Owners:

Being the General Manager of The Tahoe Ridge Resort is a privilege I do not take lightly. It is a high profile position within the local community, within our company, and most of all with the Tahoe Ridge Owners. My first 90 days in the position I met with every single team member to get to know them and to hear their feedback. My closing message to each team member was we must focus on making +1 Continuous Improvements high up here on The Ridge. If we get a little bit better each and every day, we will see significant improvements not only all around the resort but within ourselves as individuals as well.
