High pressure sales

The staff called the room at 9am and woke my wife up to try to sell us a timeshare after we had already told the front desk staff we were not interested. We will not return to this resort because we were there to relax and enjoy a night away rather than be pressured into buying something we are not intetested in

Limited hot water and hair on the floors

There was hair on the floor in our rooms. Jacuzzi jets didn't work. Jacuzzi tub was dirty at the bottom. There were five individuals in our room and everyone wasn't able to properly take a hot shower (my fiance and I). There were lady bugs flying all around our rooms. We were misled about the water park being apart of the hotel; and had to sit through that Timeshare stuff. And that poor guy José (I think that was his name) who's working off of commission, having to pitch something to us that we truly didn't want; WASN'T TOLD that we'd have to do so until we checked into the hotel. They didn't even inform us of the hotel's pool/operating hours.. I was there to try to enjoy a relaxing, well deserved birthday getaway for my son. And we were highly disappointed..

great resort in a great location

Great resort located in a very scenic area of IL. that was very easy to get to with just a short drive. Fall colors were beautiful in the three state parks nearby. Prices were reasonable and the food was very good at the restaurants in the area as well.

Great place to stay but watch out for your wallet

I really enjoyed our stay at the resort it was a great get away. The room was very nice and clean and cutely themed. The amenities were very nice there was so much to do that they offered on site and it was awesome that they gave us information on everything off site as well. My only hang up was I was doubled charged for my stay and management tried to help but I was unable to get a refund in a timely manner and ended up having to go through my bank to decline payment and had to cancel my card to get my money back. It made for a huge hassle and a very bad day for me after returning home. They need to get their finance situation in order because the resort was great what I went through after not so much.

In the middle of nowhere.

Rooms were nice and clean and the staff was great. However there is no restaurant or bar on site and no fitness center. This property is located in the middle of nowhere and you have a 20 minute drive if you want to eat or get a beer somewhere. Also the water park is extra and not included with your stay.
