Comforting and relaxing room

Great room. Bathrooms were clean and a big size, spacious. Clean, roomy, and a nice layout overall. The lighting in the room was off, different lighting in the different areas made it look weird at night. But otherwise it was nice.

Horrible!!!

Located in the middle of nowhere, you will find nothing else around..not even a grocery store. Google was wrong, the grocery store nearby is out of business...ask the dive bar next door, They will laugh. The rooms look nice, but they are dirty. The toilets make random noises all the time, you can't use the ceiling fans because they make too much noise . The fake wooden chairs are basically falling apart. The pool was dirty & over chlorinated, the entire facility is a big maze, poorly planned. If you are planning to come here because of the waterpark, you will be let down. The line to get inside to the park was crazy and once inside, it's jammed packed..nuts to butts! Guaranteed over limits but they just want more people and money. Lines for junk food were absurd and of course no outside food or drinks permitted. Used bandaids seen all over the waterpark along with floating debris in both the waterpark and pool. This is the absolute worst waterpark we've ever been to! I hope this review changes someone's mind and goes elsewhere because our trip was awful! You've been warned! Don't listen then it's "I told you so". Never coming back!

For getting us a quick room but unfortunately it was not the exact room of what we all expected with my family that day.

Me and my family were not happy from our last stay and maybe not going back from this hotel anymore. It was not a a 1-day stay as an IHG member like me for not even recognizing me "as a valued member".

Great first experience

Everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. I did like that you could adjust the temperature in the room. Many hotels are now locking out thermostats to save money at the cost of guest comfort. This is not one of them. It was really like a home away from home.

Lackluster for winter

It was impossible to book an additional night with an anniversary night, really silly. No food on property, and the local pizza place only takes cash or zelle. Arcade and game room was underwhelming and not staffed. Maybe it's better in the summer with the outdoor activities. Water Park was jam packed and concessions were understaffed.

Great place to unwind and relax

With a busy schedule daily this was exactly what I needed. I was just there to relax and reset. I brought all my food and drinks with a full kitchen in my suite. My wife and I had a very peaceful weekend. She thought the furniture was a little out dated. I thought it was unique and different from the normal everyday look, we see over and over again. I highly recommend this for couples looking to spend some quality time together ️

Unexpected luxury in rural Illinois

My girlfriend lives in Illinois and while looking for a hotel to stay at during an overnight visit I found fox river. I booked a room for $100 and didn't really investigate much else. Imagine my surprise when I pulled into an actual resource in the middle of nowhere Illinois. Everything about this location is grand and beautiful. I was given an upgrade to a villa and it was absolutely stunning. Beautifully decorated. A balcony overlooking woods, stunning furniture. A Jacuzzi tub, a full kitchen with all the accessories you could need. A DVD player in the family room. There are pools and a water park facility here as well but since it's January they were not available nor on our minds. But we stayed cozy inside and the vibes were immaculate. We will absolutely be returning this summer and fall with the kids. The hotel staff were SO kind and SO helpful. From check in to forgetting some toothpaste they were on it. They all certainly make the stays more enjoyable just by being so bubbly and fun. Can't say enough good things about this location! If you're looking for a long term stay or even just a quick overnight you must check out this location. It's truly a serene wonderland in a sea of cow farms and corn fields.
