Clean, Safe and friendly

The stay was short but the staff was very friendly and professional. The property was clean and I felt secure everywhere on the property.

Beware of Feral Cats

We had a suite on the base level. The people above us kept throwing food down to the feral cats in the area. There were at least four cats that would sleep and hangout on our balcony. I tried shooing them away but they just stared at me. We couldn’t use our balcony because of them. They have been around for a while. Everything else was okay. We were in an older area and it definitely showed it’s age but it had a full kitchen which was nice.

A nice get away from Chicago

I took the family down to the Fox River Resort for a late summer get away. The water park is great for little kids as well are the pools. There are daily activities for the kids and adults along with the golf course. A great place for a quick get away from the city.

Great Place

Great place to stay very happy! Can’t wait to stay here again! Couldn’t of been any better!!

Dirty bathroom

resort had a nice pool ,park for the kids and activities. there was no hot water in the Presidential Suites Building after 9pm on Saturday night August 3rd and the outside stairways leading to the rooms are filthy and need powerwashed. The outside porch/patio was also filthy and could not be used by the family as it was too dirty

The overall property is in poor shape

There are weeds overgrown on most of the exterior facilities. The outdoor pool looks good but the indoor pool look worn out and rusted. There were bags of old towels which were there when we checked in left by our door for the first 3 days. The mini golf course ate balls at the 13th hole. Our room had dead bugs and wolf spider webs all over the windows and patio. Stray cats running around outside our patio the whole time. The jacuzzi tub was filthy after using the jets. Overall not pleased but the kids still had fun. They were scared of the spiders though.

Relaxing rural location

We chose this resort as an alternative to another waterpark destination that would have been a lot more crowded and easily twice as expensive. We stayed Sunday - Tuesday hoping to avoid the weekend rush and were very pleased with the experience. We always have to do extra work to get a microwave and fridge for our trips but not here. The kitchenette in each room is definitely a plus. Even though the waterpark is extra the price is fair. Our only complaint is not about the resort but that our cell phone service ( T-Mobile) was almost non-existent. This was a great family getaway overall.

Nice Mix of Activities

Enjoyed our stay but disappointed that there are no restaurants here only snack bars with limited services and hours. There was no outlet to get breakfast during our stay. Facilities could use some TLC.
